Live wallpaper running on Bada 2.0 ( video )

Hi friends , our prediction has come true . Live wallpapers are finally available on bada . A video has been posted by Russian blogger which shows live wallpapers running on an unreleased Bada device.
The device runs Bada 2.0 . This means that these wallpapers can also be enjoyed on existing Samsung Bada handsets like Samsung Wave S8500 , S8530 ( wave 2 ) and ofcourse the upcoming wave 3 (s8600 )

What's more- you can now also change your homescreens just like in Android . For example - you can now unlock your phone by connecting dots in a particular fashion  .

Bada 2.0 firmware available for download

Finally the Bada 2.0  firmwares for Samsung wave s8500 and s8530 have been put up for download. However these are not official releases .These have been leaked up on the internet by some Bada engineers working for Samsung in Korea . these download are available for both Samsung wave S8500 and S8530 (wave 2) .
Note:These are beta roms so all features may not be bug free. We have personally found following features to be working .

Sms ( yeah!)

Most of the Widgets

Music and Video Players

Camera is better 

Web Browser (version 2.3)

Email Working  

Navigation is working along with the LBS route 66 maps

FM Radio not tried.

 Wifi a/b/g/n working perfectly

and what did not work?

Facebook and twitter apps did not work.

could not test NFC feature of bada 2.0 as we dont have NFC Handsets on Bada yet

Samsung wave 3 Indian launch announced

Samsung has announced the launch date for wave 3 in India . According to Samsung India executive the phone would be launched in India on 27th of October .
Besides the bada OS 2.0, this handset is will be equipped with a 1.4 GHz single core processor, 4-inch super AMOLED display (yes! ) and a 5-megapixel rear camera with front facing VGA camera for video calls over 3G . This phone sports a 3GB internal memory. Further you can expand memory till 64 gb using the microSD card slot. It is GPS/Glonass enabled ( including A-gps ) and also includes the latest Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi-network a/b/g/n . The battery is large too at 1,500mAh capacity.
This phone will be named gt-8600 and is expected to actually cost around 1800 rs on launch in India (official Indian MRP is rs.19600)
